Tyre Checks
Your vehicle needs a proper grip on road surfaces. If the tyres are worn out, it is important to replace without delay.
Wiper Checks
Replace worn-out wiper blades. Worn out wiper blades will not clear the windscreen as well as should be the case. Replace with good quality brands which are more long lasting. This way you do not have to replace regularly and you will make savings in the long run.
Wiper Fluid Checks
Ensure that this is always filled up. It may be useful to add an additive to help clean and clear the windscreen. Buy the additives from motor spares and accessory shops.
Lights checks
Check that all lights are working. These include headlights, brake lights, indicator lights, spot lights and hazard lights.
These lights are all important in heavy downpours, apart from nights, when visibility and lighting may be required for safe motoring.
Brake checks
Brakes should be checked at all times.
Only use the handbrake for stopping the vehicle only in exceptional situations and this should not be the norm.
Brake Fluid Checks
This should be done regularly.
Suspension Systems – Checks
The suspension of the vehicle should always be checked.
